Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak ClimbingPisang peak is the popular Annapurna circuit trek region in Nepal. From Chame we follow the trail to the Pisang village from where the path ascends through alpine woods and yak pastures. It is on the way to the highest pass of the world and offers good scope for exploration. We set up the base camp at Kharka at 4,380m. High Camp is set up at 5,400m approx on the South-West edge. The peak is made up of steeply twisted rocks, the deep slope of which faces the valley below. The western flank of the mountain is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers considerable challenge. A German Expedition team made the first successful Pisang Peak climbing in 1955. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek with Pisang Peak climbing to have the taste of climbing in the Himalayas. Pisang peak is known as one of the technical climbing peaks among of the climbing peaks in Nepal.
