So that most people specially do this trek with their children as it is an easy trek of Annapurna region where all aged group people can complete this trek successfully. The food and accommodation in this trek is quite modern and has good heating system in dining room. Especially if we have climbed to Poon Hill for excellent panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range in the morning that we stayed in Ghorepani; we can feel that we are far enough and got enough adventure experience within a very short duration. The views are perfect where ever you are in the corner. Huge mountains are always standing just in front of your face. Especially numbers of Annapurna range, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Mountain always keep knocking your eyes to keep looking their beauty and shinning.

One of the important highlight of this trip is to make a climb on Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01 - Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 05 hours drive by Private Car / van. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 - An hour drive to Nayapul by private Car / Van, we then begin trek to Tikhedhunga.
We begin our trek at Nayapul, driving to the road head. After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m. After the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1525m. This trek offers a short & relatively easy day, during journey & allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.
Day 03 - Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani 2875m. 06 Hrs.
Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk brings you to Ghorepani.
Day 04   Early morning trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m.) and then to Tadapani (2675m.) which takes about five and half hours.
Early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast trek Ghorepani to Tadapani (2650 m.) through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, you frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green scenarios. Tadapani is a small village surrounded by beautiful forests which grants you a magnificent view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, and Annapurna II and so on.
Day 05   Trek from Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk (1950m.) and it takes about three hours.
It is very easy trek by descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests. You could hear different kinds of birds chirping on the way. This is one of the popular destinations for the birds' lovers. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village. There is a handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this village you could see good views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail.
Day 06   Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (05 Hrs) and an hour of car drive back to Pokhara.
It is very easy trek by descending gently all the way to Nayapul through beautiful rice terrace, small valley and villages.
Day 07   Drive back to Kathmandu by car / van or tourist Bus. Overnight at hotel.
